If you don’t already know, we’re very serious about having 100% plastic free, biodegradable packaging. That means when it came to our packet zippers, we had to get scientific.
Our sample pack zippers are made from PLA bioplastic, a plant-based material derived from renewable sources like corn and sugarcane. It looks and feels like traditional plastic, but it breaks down naturally and safely under composting conditions.
Unlike petroleum-based plastics, PLA doesn’t stick around for centuries. It’s part of a new generation of materials designed to work with nature, not against it.
